Terms of Service
Short, plain-English terms for King of City. Effective date: September 2026.
1. Acceptance & eligibility
By creating an account or using King of City, you agree to these terms. You need a valid email to sign up and must be able to enter into this agreement under the laws that apply to you.
2. The service
King of City lets people bid for and buy web billboard ranks for US places on our map. Winning or purchasing a rank lets you show content on that place's board for the relevant billboard week. Product timing and mechanics are described on the Rules page.
3. Auctions, buy-now & payments
- Payments are processed through Stripe.
- Auction bids typically place a card hold (authorization). You are charged only if you win a top-10 rank when the auction closes; losing bids release the hold.
- Buy-now purchases are charged immediately when you secure an open rank.
- Placing a bid or starting checkout does not guarantee you will win or get a rank.
4. Content rules
Do not post ads that are illegal, hateful, misleading, or that infringe someone else's rights. King of City may remove or hide content that breaks these rules or that we reasonably believe is harmful or inappropriate.
5. Accounts & security
Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us if you think someone else got access.
6. Refunds
Auction losers are not charged (holds are released). Buy-now purchases are generally final once a rank is secured. If something goes clearly wrong on our side, contact us and we'll take a look.
7. Disclaimer & liability
King of City is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running, but we don't promise uninterrupted service or specific results. To the fullest extent allowed by law, King of City is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. We'll keep an effective date at the top of this page.
